At AASHA Consulting, our mission is to empower professionals and communities through culturally informed training and consultancy that addresses domestic violence and abuse, with a focus on Bangladeshi and South Asian communities.

We are dedicated to raising awareness, enhancing safeguarding practices, and fostering environments where survivors' voices are heard, supported, and protected. By bridging cultural understanding with professional expertise, we strive to unite communities in ending domestic violence and to build safer, more inclusive training and systems that prevent abuse and promote lasting change.

At Aasha, our mission is to empower professionals and communities through culturally informed, research- and evidence-based training and consultancy that addresses domestic abuse and harmful practices across different communities.

Aasha builds on the training, seminars, podcasts, research and conferences on domestic violence/abuse, developed by Dr Aysha Ahmed as part of her research with the Institute of Applied Social Research (IASR) at the University of Bedfordshire. Dr Ahmed's study and understanding of the cultural, social, and legal barriers faced by survivors have guided Aasha in developing tailored programs that resonate with survivors and professionals alike.

Aasha's cultural expertise, theological knowledge and involvement with minority communities and organisations support the continued work in tackling barriers women experience and the restriction of reporting domestic abuse to support services. We believe that bridging gaps within communities and sharing knowledge effectively support women in amplifying their voices and being heard.

We deliver programmes, produce and publish new research on domestic violence and the importance of gender, culture, faith and knowledge, making it fully accessible to everyone, both nationally and internationally.
